Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs Welcomes Cindy Nelson as Vice President of Philanthropy

Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs is pleased to announce that Cindy Nelson has joined the team as Vice President of Philanthropy. In this new position, she will responsible for leading strategic fundraising efforts in support of the organization’s mission as well as conduct a major capital campaign and develop a sustained giving program.
Prior to joining Golden PAWS, Nelson served as Senior Director of Advancement at Ave Maria University for two years; Senior Director of Development for NCH Healthcare Foundation for seven years; and served three years as the Director of Development for the Kirby Medical Center Foundation located in Illinois. Nelson’s experience and accomplishments also include a successful twenty-year career at the Carle Development Foundation including roles as Director of Volunteer Services and as Director of Development.
“We are excited to have Cindy join the Golden PAWS team,” says Jeannie Bates, Founder and Executive Director of Golden PAWS. “Her knowledge and experience in development will help take Golden PAWS to the next level of success and sustainability.”
