Jewish Federation of Greater Naples holds Power of Community Celebration March 29

The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples invites the public to a celebration of Israel’s anniversary of statehood with a free community event from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 26 at Nina Iser Jewish Cultural Center, 4720 Pine Ridge Road, Naples.
“We recognize Israel still faces many challenges, so Celebrate Israel @ 75 is a time of happiness, fanfare and inspiration,” said Harvey Cohen, co-chairman of the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples’ Israel Advocacy Committee.

The Israeli Dancers from Fort Myers and children from Temple Shalom will perform. Dancing and dance lessons will be offered.

Booths of inspiration, culture and technology; children’s activities; Gaga ball game, a bounce house and rock-climbing wall are available for free for all ages. Israeli-themed food will be available for purchase. The first 500 people in attendance will receive a free Kona Ice treat.

The event is chaired by Tracy and Michael Askotzky, and Cathy and Phil Zacks, with honorary chair Jane Schiff, who is chair of the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples and shares a birthday with the state of Israel.
The free event is being funded by Friends of the 75th Celebration with donations of $75 each and a matching gift of $7,500 from an anonymous donor. Additional sponsorships are available.
