Keith Grossman Presents on “How to Build Your Peace Chest”
Attorney, mediator and trainer Keith Grossman, founder and managing partner of Grossman Law & Conflict Management, recently presented “How to Build Your Peace Chest,” which is designed to enhance conflict management and negotiation skills, to a group of business professionals in Fort Myers. The presentation took place during a breakfast gathering May 23, 2014 at Perkins restaurant on the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Crystal Drive in Fort Myers. Grossman has been slated to present the program again at the same location on July 25, 2014.
Grossman is an engaging speaker who accepts bookings locally, statewide and nationally to talk to corporations, non-profit organizations and professional associations on topics such as conflict management in the workplace. He offered strategies for identifying problematic situations and managing conflict when it arises. In addition to offering ways to improve conflict management, Grossman also discussed how managing conflict could result in constructive outcomes for both employees and the business as a whole.
Grossman has also recently published an e-book titled “What is a Peace Chest,” which is available for the Amazon Kindle.
In addition to workplace conflict, Grossman and his associate attorneys litigate divorce and family law cases. The team aims first to apply strategies to help manage conflict cooperatively and maintain relationships. After many years of litigation, Grossman observed that an adversarial model has increasingly generated higher conflict and unnecessary expense. The “How to Build Your Peace Chest” lectures grew out of a conviction that all parties are better served by committing to solutions. Grossman believes the emphasis should be on saving up one’s riches to prepare to make peace instead of war.
“Developing a peace chest is a decision to focus on teamwork, problem solving, and interest-based negotiation rather than threats or power,” Grossman explained. “A strong peace chest promotes harmony, encourages self-empowerment, and provides for healing.”
Grossman often schedules his speaking engagements as breakfast presentations. What better way to begin the day than by enhancing and taking stock of one’s resources to negotiate the relationships and encounters that lie ahead?
