Law and Order Ball is Sold Out!

Law and Order Ball is Sold Out!

Opportunities are still available to purchase lifesaving trauma kits for law enforcement officials

Rotary Club of Fort Myers South announces that for the first time in the three-year history of the Law & Order Ball, it has sold out. The arena will be full for this gala event to be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, September 17 at Germain Arena in Estero. This Law & Order Ball recognizes the everyday heroes who keep our communities safe, including five finalists for the Officer of the Year award.

The new addition of Fund-A-Need to this year’s event will provide funds for law enforcement to purchase tactical trauma kits, which contain supplies that allow law enforcement personnel to stabilize victims in a traumatic event, from a shooting to a car crash. The kits offer the best chance to give life-saving treatment in the most crucial time.  This initiative coincides with FEMA’s nationwide “Stop the Bleed” initiative, which allows first responders to take simple steps to keep injured people alive as they await medical care.

NBC-2 News Anchor Peter Busch, along with a surprise celebrity guest, will emcee the glittering evening, which features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, raffles, a fabulous silent and live auction, music, dancing and lots of fun surprises.

The silent auction will include great items such as dinners and getaways. Raffle items include a one-week stay on Fort Myers Beach, a loaded wine basket, a booze cooler, and his and her Apple Watches, just to name a few. Live Auction items will be provided by Law Enforcement agencies and will include one-of-a-kind experiences that allow guests to see the world from the eyes of a Law Enforcement officer, season tickets to FSW basketball games in the new Sun Coast Credit Union Arena, and many more.

A one-of-kind VIP table upgrade will be available for auction as well.  This VIP table upgrade will allow the highest bidder and his/her party to get the “best seats in the house” for the event. High-end beverages, butler service at their table, a special dessert, and other great surprises await this bidder.

A special law enforcement only auction will also take place with such items as golf outings, bowling parties, and boat rentals. You can preview auction item packages at www.lawandorderball.org, click on buy tickets.

The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Officer of the Year Award to one special hero, who will receive a custom designed ring by Rotarian Mark Loren of Mark Loren Designs. Five finalists will be recognized: Sergeant John Kulko, Cape Coral Police Department; Officer Cassie McHale, Fort Myers Police Department; Detective Michael Cahill, Lee County Sheriff’s Office; Deputy Sheriff First Class Jarrod Cantrell, Lee County Sheriff’s Office; and Sergeant James Matthew Chitwood, Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
