Malibu Wellness donates over 10,000 hand sanitizers to United Way

Malibu Wellness donated over 10,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to the Gifts in Kind program of United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades, which distributes millions of items to nonprofits and community partners at no cost, allowing agencies to spend donations for programming.

“Our Gifts in Kind program distributes $5 million worth of physical goods from community partners each year,” said Jeannine Joy, President and CEO of United Way. “While the variety of items we distribute is endless, PPE (personal protective equipment) has been a central focus throughout the pandemic. Clean hands are always important, and resources continue to be a major need among United Way Partner Agencies and Community Partners. We are grateful to Malibu Wellness for this donation.”

At the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Malibu switched gears to begin focusing on safe and effective sanitizing solutions, creating liquid and gel hand sanitizer in several sizes. Through continued outreach, Malibu C CUR8 Hand Sanitizer has helped numerous nonprofits, healthcare providers and other industries maintain sanitation efforts throughout the duration of the pandemic.

“Malibu Wellness is dedicated to our communities and continues to find ways to bolster wellness initiatives,” said Tom Porter, President of Malibu Wellness. “Wellness is not just a word in our company’s name; it is embedded in our lifestyle.”
