Naples businesses join together to feed 500 Golden Gate children

Students at Golden Gate Elementary School will be the beneficiaries of generous hearts as employees of Premiere Plus Realty in Naples and Movement Mortgage partner to pack 500 meals for the children as part of a strategic corporate program offered by Blessings in a Backpack SWFL.

As part of their Premiere Plus Realty Cares program supporting local charities, the two businesses paid for the meals and approximately 60 employees wearing PPR shirts, will join together to pack the food on Friday, March 27, at Center Point Community Church, 6590 Golden Gate Pkwy. in Naples. They will then deliver the food to the school.

“A lot of companies are looking for this type of engagement and we are one of the few non-profits to offer that,” said Cecilia St. Arnold, executive director of Blessings in a Backpack SWFL. “For me, it is always wonderful to get this kind of group together to learn about our mission and see the outreach that comes from this. It also brings awareness to the childhood hunger problem in Collier County.”

Blessings in a Backpack feeds over 5,000 children each week in Lee and Collier counties. During the school year, the food is delivered on Fridays so the children won’t go hungry over the weekends.
