Naples to Host Southwest Regional Chiropractic Convention and Expo produced by the Florida Chiropractic Association, Inc. (FCA)

BONITA SPRINGS, FL November 7, 2022 — The Southwest Regional Chiropractic Convention and Expo produced by the Florida Chiropractic Association, Inc. (FCA) will take place from Friday, Nov. 18 through Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Naples Grande Beach Resort located at 475 Seagate Drive in Naples.

Dr. Vivian Ebert, Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) and founder of LivingWell Chiropractic, who serves the FCA on its Board of Directors representing Collier County, and Dr. Tanya Horsten, president of the Collier County Chiropractic Society, are the primary organizers of the convention’s Friday evening networking mixer, the proceeds from which will support ChiroPAC, FCA’s political action committee.

“ChiroPAC is one of the most robust political action committees in Florida. Supporting FCA and ChiroPAC goes a long way to elect Florida legislature members with a proven record of standing up for chiropractic healthcare,” said Ebert.

During the Friday evening mixer, Dr. Nicole Bennett, DC, will be honored with FCA’s “Distinguished Service Award” for her outstanding contributions to the advancement of the chiropractic profession in Florida. Ebert and fellow FCA board members nominated Bennett as honoree well before Hurricane Ian devastated Bennett’s practice with flooding caused by the storm’s surge.

The two-and-a-half-day event, including Friday evening’s mixer, is open to all chiropractic professionals with the following designations:
• Doctor of Chiropractic (DC)
• Certified Chiropractic Physician’s Assistant (CCPA)
• Chiropractic Assistant (CA)
• Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
• Chiropractic Radiological Technician (CRT)
• Licensed Acupuncturist (Including LAc, AP, and DOM)

All other chiropractic office staff are welcome to attend by selecting the chiropractic assistant (CA) designation when registering.

According to Ebert, “The FCA’s southwest regional convention and expo is an excellent opportunity for chiropractic professionals to earn required continuing education credits, network with peers, and learn about new offerings from vetted vendors that specifically serve chiropractic practitioners.”

For required continuing education credits, panel sessions include “Headaches: To Adjust or Not to Adjust…That is the Question,” “An Integrative Approach to Concussions, Played on the Field of Life,” “Business, Rules, and Laws: Let Us Protect You,” and “MUST KNOW BILLING AND CODING REQUIREMENTS: The No Surprises Act and Billing LBP X-Rays -Update from Florida Blue.”

Breakout sessions during the convention will cover topics such as acupuncture, adjusting, chiropractic assistant (CA) training, coding, concussion, gut/brain health, headaches, immunity, laser, Florida laws and rules, neurology, nutrition, practice growth, sports medicine, technique, and women’s health.

The expo portion of the convention, featuring over 50 vendor exhibits ranging from medical device suppliers to billing and insurance software solution providers, will occur from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Registration for the Southwest Regional Chiropractic Convention and Expo is only available for chiropractic professionals. On-site event registration will be open; however, the FCA encourages attendees to register at https://thenationalchiro.com/sw/ in advance.
