Rack up unbelievable bargains and shatter records at Shop for Success

Year after year, Dress for Success SW Florida breaks its own impressive records when Shop for Success, presented by Founding Sponsor White House Black Market, unveils unbelievable deals on high-end merchandise. When the free shopping extravaganza returns 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Crowne Plaza Fort Myers, lucky bargain hunters will delight in 5,000 square feet of unprecedented bounty, with prices starting at just $5.
This epic shopping event supports Dress for Success SW Florida’s life-changing mission of providing wardrobes, employment counseling and career development tools to disadvantaged women in the area.

Last year, White House Black Market donated 85 boxes of brand new merchandise for Shop for Success. This contribution represented a major portion of the tops, pants, skirts, dresses, suits, jackets, shoes, handbags and jewelry for sale to promote the economic independence of local disadvantaged women. This year, the popular Fort Myers-based retailer is on track to increase that windfall for enthusiastic shoppers. Other major contributing retailers include Chico’s, Talbot’s, Macy’s and Dillard’s, who have again confirmed their dedication to the success of the event.

Shoppers wishing to support Dress for Success SW Florida’s mission with a dazzling wardrobe reboot need not register in advance unless they desire the VIP treatment. A limited number of VIP tickets include early shopping from 3-5 p.m., complimentary champagne and VIP checkout, and are now on sale for $50 at www.dfsswflorida.org.

In 2015, Shop for Success raised an incredible $95,000, easily surpassing the previous year’s record-breaking $73,000. This continually successful “pop-up store” garnered Dress for Success SW Florida an invitation to speak at the Dress for Success World Wide Conference, out of 141 affiliates in 19 countries.
Barbara Dell, CEO of Dress for Success SW Florida, said, “Retail therapy takes on a more meaningful context when it contributes to a great cause. The Southwest Florida community is always supportive of Dress for Success SW Florida, and this night of shopping and socializing is such a fun way to help us serve more women on their journey to a better career and life.”

In addition to the new merchandise from generous local retailers, gently used fashion items are donated by individual supporters at the Dress for Success SW Florida Boutique at 12995 S. Cleveland Ave., Suite 153 in Fort Myers. Please call before dropping off donations at (239) 689-4992.
