Samaritan Health & Wellness Center’s First Annual Fundraiser

First Annual Fundraising Gala
Cape Coral, Florida— January 20, 2020 — The Samaritan Health and Wellness Center will hold its first annual fundraising gala at the Cape Coral Westin Resort on Saturday, March 28, 2020. The funds generated from this event, which is open to the public, will go toward supporting the clinic’s daily operations. Samaritan Health and Wellness Center is a nonprofit, faith-based family medical facility offering affordable healthcare and mental health counseling for the uninsured and under insured in Southwest Florida.
In November 2014, Samaritan opened its doors for business, and to date there are nearly 8,000 unduplicated patients receiving care. The Center is staffed by licensed and nationally board-certified advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) and masters prepared mental health counselors. These professionals, along with support staff, provide care of the body, mind, and spirit for all those in need of services. Newborns through the elderly make up the patients who call Samaritan their medical home. Addiction services are also offered to help those with substance use disorder.
Samaritan’s budget is comprised of the small fee for service that the patients pay and donations from churches, individuals, small businesses, community organizations, and grant funding. This annual fundraiser brings awareness of the need for affordable healthcare and of the services Samaritan offers.
