Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina announces October event lineup

From beer and bratwurst to costumes and canines, Slipaway Food Truck Park & Marina is embracing the spirit of October with a full schedule of themed events, live entertainment and waterfront fun for the community to enjoy.

Slipaway will celebrate the spirit of Oktoberfest with “Boat-Oberfest” on Saturday, Oct. 10 where guests can test their strength in stein-hoisting competitions, explore on-the-water demos with a Sea Hunt boat show held in collaboration with the Bonita Boat Center, and enjoy live music throughout the celebration. Sam Adams Oktoberfest will be flowing on tap adding the perfect brew to a weekend of food, fun and Oktoberfest festivities.

On Thursday, Oct. 15 from 5 to 9 p.m., Slipaway will host its October Night Market, featuring a curated lineup of local artisan vendors. Shoppers can browse handmade crafts and unique products such as jewelry, dog treats, seaglass crafts, wooden cutting boards, bowls and accessories, candied jalapenos, dips, marinades, energy balls and more.

As the witching hour approaches, Halloween festivities get underway at Slipaway. The frightfully fun events include:

-Wags on the Water Dog-friendly Pup-or-Treat – Wednesday, Oct. 21: Guests and their four-legged friends can enjoy an evening of costumes, treats, pup cups and shopping with pup-specific vendors onsite selling treats, toys and other accessories 5 to 8:30 p.m. The first 100 pups will get a complimentary dog treat provided by Bailey’s Beer Biscuits. A professional photo station will capture digital dog costume contest entry photos from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for the chance to win a prize basket and Slipaway gift card.

-Halloween Pilates Wellness on the Water and Bike Night – Saturday, Oct. 24: Start the weekend feeling strong, centered, and refreshed with Halloween costume mat Pilates, a wellness vendor market and 360 photo booth. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the class from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Registration is $30 per person and includes the class and one mimosa. In the evening, Slipaway will also host Bike Night from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will feature live music by Model Citisin, vendors, contests, a full bar, 10 food trucks and more.

-NFL Sunday Ticket – Sunday, Oct. 25: Catch the games with live music from JPH Reggae kicking off at 11:30 a.m. Start your drink tab before 12:30 p.m. and receive 10% off your beverage check (food not included). The Helm Bar opens at 10 a.m.

-Full Moon Toga Party – Monday, Oct. 26: Celebrate under the full moon with waterfront fun and themed festivities beginning at 6 p.m. with yard games, drinking games and $6 domestic draft beers all night long. Togas encouraged.

-Pre-Halloween Hoedown – Tuesday, Oct. 27: Come dressed in your best country attire and enjoy live music from the Back Country Boys beginning at 5:30 p.m.

-Waterfront Hallow-Wine Club – Wednesday, Oct. 28: Wine lovers are encouraged to wear their favorite wine attire as they stroll, sip and savor the night away in a special Waterfront Hallow-Wine Club edition. Beginning at 6 p.m., the self-led tour features four wine stations and a total of eight wines for enjoyment. Advance registration is required, and participation is $25 per person.

-Night Market and Truck & Treat – Thursday, Oct. 29: This family-friendly event features local makers and vendors, decorated food trucks, pumpkin painting and plenty of candy from 5 to 9 p.m.

-Live Music – Friday, Oct. 30: Enjoy live performances by Sarah Ash from 1 to 4 p.m. and Stolen Fruit from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

-Halloween Fright Night – Saturday, Oct. 31: Celebrate Halloween from 6 to 10 p.m. with live music from all-female 80s tribute band The Bango Bango’s and a spooky Halloween cocktail menu at The Helm. Guests are encouraged to wear their best costumes for a chance to win a $1,000 grand prize in the Halloween Costume contest, with the winner announced at 9 p.m.

Throughout the month of October, Slipaway is offering Tequila Tuesday specials, which include $1 off tequila cocktails and $40 pitchers of 1800 Tequila margaritas from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every Tuesday. Additionally, every football Sunday, guests who start their drink tab before 12:30 p.m. will receive 10% off their total drink purchase (food not included).
