FORT MYERS, Fla. (May xx, 2015) –Andrew and Judy Williams, owners of SPADA Salon & Day Spa, are pleased to announce that SPADA-thon, their annual fundraising event to support PACE Center for Girls, Lee and the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, raised a record $23,000 for the two worthy organizations. $11,500 will be presented to each organization. In addition, 300 dresses were collected and will be donated to PACE Center for Girls, Lee to be sold at Love That Dress!
Guests enjoyed specially priced salon services, a silent auction, fashion boutique vendors, food, wine and music, all while raising money for the two groups. Admission to the event was one or more new or gently used dress, handbag, accessory or shoes to be sold at Love That Dress! or a $5.00 donation.
This event topped last year’s record of $22,700. SPADA owners Judy and Andrew Williams are thrilled with the amount of money raised. Judy said, “We were determined to make it another record-breaking year, and to have raised over $23,000 is phenomenal. We are so glad that we can do this for these two great organizations and look forward to making it even better next year.”

PACE Center for Girls provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. The Center offers year round counseling and academic services for girls, ages 12-18, who are facing challenges such as foster care, domestic violence abuse and neglect, death of a parent, substance abuse, and/or family history of incarceration. The Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida will open in 2017 on the grounds of HealthPark Medical Center. The hospital will provide 128 beds with the ability to expand to 160, including 36 pediatric acute care beds, 64 neonatal ICU beds and 16 pediatric ICU beds, as well as a plethora of other much-needed services.
