Sponsorship opportunities announced for the 32nd Annual Boston Red Sox Celebrity Event Series
The 32nd Annual Red Sox Celebrity Classic series is planned in February and March to benefit a planned pediatric surgery center at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
Events include:
• Boston Tee Party, Feb. 13 at The Forest Country Club and includes an evening of heavy hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and spirited auctions. Bidding opportunities include autographed sports and entertainment memorabilia, fine jewelry, and luxurious spa and destination packages.
• 32nd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic, Feb. 14 at The Forest Country Club includes a big-league golf tourney featuring Boston Red Sox players, major league greats and sports celebrities. On-course contests and an after-tournament dinner add to the excitement.
• Dinner on the Diamond, March 5 at JetBlue includes a family friendly event with dinner on the field, Red Sox celebrity appearances, autograph signings, a silent auction with sports memorabilia and other items. VIP packages are available for an MVP experience.
“Thanks to the Boston Red Sox, The Forest Country Club, generous sponsors and event attendees teaming up to support children’s healthcare in Southwest Florida, the event series has raised a grand slam total of $15 million for needs at the hospital since 1993,” said Senior Director at Lee Health Foundation and Tournament Director Katy Martinez. “We look forward to another series going to bat for increased access to care for area children.”
Last year, the series raised more than $400,000 for the new surgery center at Golisano Children’s Hospital. This year, the series will again support the development of the new Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery Center. Last year, approximately 5,000 outpatient pediatric surgeries and procedures were performed at HealthPark Medical Center to treat fractures, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, ENT conditions, orthopedic maladies and appendectomies.
The new surgery center will provide exceptional, compassionate care in a welcoming environment. The center will directly benefit children and families by reducing wait times, increasing efficiencies, lowering costs and improving access to emergency services.
