SRMA annual membership meeting scheduled on Jan. 29
The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) has announced its annual general membership meeting will take place Thursday, Jan. 29 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Garden Room at The Landings Yacht, Golf and Tennis Club, 4425 South Landings Drive in Fort Myers. Attendees can expect updates on the state of manufacturing in Southwest Florida; an overview of SRMA’s mission and activities, including the Made in SWFL show in March, and an opportunity to network with top local manufacturers. In addition, SRMA will convene a top industry expert to discuss best hiring practices.
Although the discussion will address the specific needs of manufacturers, it will prove valuable to those involved in hiring decisions in any type of industry. Employees, students and job seekers should not miss the chance to network with the manufacturers who are quickly becoming the driving force in the economy. Community leaders, economic development experts and local dignitaries are also expected to be in attendance. The Annual Membership Meeting is sponsored by Storm Smart Companies, and the Welcome Sponsor is Craters and Freighters. Tickets are $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Limited tickets are available. RSVP today by contacting SRMA Executive Director, Marni Sawicki, at marni@srma.net.
“Manufacturing is leading the way for economic recovery and continued growth in the state of Florida and throughout southwest Florida,” SRMA Executive Director Marni Sawicki said. “2015 will be an exciting year for members and guests of SRMA with monthly events and happenings that provide quality speakers, education, networking and support.”
Another opportunity to connect with manufacturers is coming up on March 25 when the annual Made in SWFL expo and networking event will take place at Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers. Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are currently available.
