STARability earns a 2019 GuideStar Gold Seal

STARability Foundation is pleased to announce they earned a 2019 GuideStar Gold Seal of Transparency. The nonprofit organization earned the designation by adding information to their profile on GuideStar, which is the world’s largest source of information on nonprofit organizations.

The Gold Seal will help community members, as well as more than 10 million GuideStar users find in-depth information about STARability’s goals, strategies, capabilities and progress. The new information is available to more 200 charitable websites and applications that use GuideStar data, such as AmazonSmile, Facebook and Network for Good.

“We are so pleased to have received this designation,” says Karen Govern, STARability Foundation’s Executive Director. “We are proud of our programs and want to make sure all our donors have our information readily available to them.”

STARability Foundation exists to Support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing life-transforming opportunities that emphasize Teamwork and connection to the community to build Awareness and Respect for their individual abilities. A professional staff and more than 100 volunteers deliver a full calendar of engaging, innovative and creative programs to ensure that participants, ages 14 to 70, can live their best lives.
