Sunshine Ace Hardware increases inventory for fishing, hunting, camping sales tax holiday

Sunshine Ace Hardware will be participating in Florida’s first hunting, fishing and camping Sales Tax Holiday and are preparing by increasing inventory.

The company’s 15 locations will be increasing their stock of firearms, ammunition, bows and crossbows, bait and fishing tackle, rods and reels and an assortment of camping equipment. These items will be tax-free from Sept. 8 to Dec. 31.

“We’re happy to be a part of encouraging our community to experience what Florida has to offer beyond the beaches,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware and Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware. “This tax holiday comes at a great time with cooler weather approaching.”

Sunshine Ace Hardware has adopted Florida’s 2025 tax-free list and will sell the following items tax-free:

Hunting Supplies:
Ammunition
Firearms
Firearm accessories: charging handles, cleaning kits, holsters, pistol grips, sights, optics and stocks
Bows
Crossbows
Bow and crossbow accessories: arrows, bolts, quarrels, quivers, releases, sights, optics and wrist guards

Camping and Fishing Supplies:

Items $200 or less:
Tents

Items $75 or less:
Rods and reels if sold individually ($150 or less if sold as a set)

Items $50 or less:
Camping stoves
Collapsible camping chairs
Portable hammocks
Sleeping bags

Items $30 or less:
Flashlights
Camping lanterns
Tackle boxes or bags

Items $5 or less:
Bait or fishing tackle if sold individually ($10 or less if multiple items are sold together)

All 15 of Sunshine Ace Hardware’s stores are participating in the tax holiday.
