The Founders Scholarship Fund Announces 2020 Board of Trustees

The Founders Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce their 2020 Board of Trustees which includes: Adam Crescenzi as Chairman of the Board, Susan Brown, Pat Chadwick, Paul Duncan as Treasurer, Michele Farrell, Rich Gale, Phil Leone, John Lord, Sue Luconi, Sue McNaghten, Jim O’Brien, Olga Placeres, Elba Rodburg, Cindy Schappert, Ted Swan, Dawson Taylor, George Thomas, Bob Tyre and Meg Tyre. Stacy Lee-Williams, the Fund Administrator, will also be serving as the secretary to the Board of Trustees.

The Advisory Board includes past Board members: Dick Censits, Rick Ermler, John Levy, Maureen O’Gorman, Joan Thomas, Robert McNaghten, and Karen Pulte.

The local 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization was founded in 1991 by members of Club Pelican Bay. The organization provides scholarships to students from Collier County in their pursuit of a higher education.

The Founders Scholarship Fund selects approximately 25 to 35 graduating students each spring from Collier County High Schools to receive scholarships based on their academic success and financial need. The $10,000 scholarships are awarded $2,500 per year as a renewable scholarship based on the student maintaining a B average. Currently, the Fund has over 100 students receiving annual scholarships. Since its inception, The Founders Fund has granted over $4 million dollars in scholarships to over 700 Collier County students and has a scholarship commitment of over $250,000 annually.
