The Founders Scholarship Fund welcomes Pat Chadwick as new board chair

The Founders Scholarship Fund (FSF) is pleased to announce Pat Chadwick will be the new board chair for the non-profit organization. She took over the chairmanship from Adam Crescenzi who served as for the past four years in the position.
Chadwick retired after 40 years in the retail industry of which most of her career was with Bloomingdales in New York City where she held various leadership and management positions. She brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership experience to the board.

The Founders Scholarship Fund is a local 501 (c)3 non-profit organization that awards renewable scholarships to local students who have shown determination, academic achievements, and financial need to pursue a college education.
This past spring, the board increased each scholarship to $6,000 per year amounting to a $24,000 scholarship. Since the organization was founded in 1991 by golf members of Club Pelican Bay, FSF has now awarded over $6 million in scholarships to more than 800 Collier County students. Scholarships are non-restrictive and are given to help students with college and post high-school educational expenses. Students receive the renewable scholarships with the agreement they are a full-time student and maintain a B average or better in their college studies.
‘I am honored to serve as the Chair of the Founders Scholarship Fund,” said Chadwick. “We have been providing scholarships to Collier County students for over 30 years and thanks to the generosity of the members of Club Pelican Bay and our corporate sponsors, we will continue to help our scholars achieve their dreams and build a better future for themselves and their families.”

In her retirement, Chadwick has focused on several non-profit initiatives in the Boston area where she spends her summer months. She and her husband Norm Cantin split their time between Pelican Bay in Naples and Cape Cod. They are the proud parents of four children and three grandchildren.
