The Laser Lounge Spas in Naples and Estero Host 3rd Annual TOX-A-THON to Benefit Scholarships for Orphaned Children
Naples & Estero, FL — Education is a lifeline for orphaned and abandoned children, providing them a path out of poverty. Through the generosity of The Laser Lounge Spa over 45 children from Haven of Hope International’s (HOHI) partner homes in Bolivia, Kenya, and Tanzania have received life-changing scholarships, ranging from high school to vocational training and university.
The annual TOX-A-THON, now in its third year, is a driving force behind these scholarships, raising critical funds to empower children with education and brighter futures.
This year’s Third Annual TOX-A-THON will take place at the following locations:
• North Naples: October 17, 4–7 PM

Megan Garcia, a mother of two and Laser Technician at The Laser Lounge Spa, embodies the transformative power of advocacy. In 2022, sponsored by The Laser Lounge Spa, she joined a HOHI team to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, a challenge that evolved into a mission to raise global awareness for orphaned children. “I climbed Kilimanjaro for these children,” Garcia shared. “The joy of reaching the summit is indescribable, and now my mission is to help these kids reach the summits of their own lives through education.” Inspired by this journey, Megan now serves as a passionate HOHI ambassador, championing the power of education for these children.
HOHI’s founder, Alice Sweet, calls this dedication the “Hope Bug,” highlighting the need for advocacy for orphaned and abandoned children: “Education is not just about academics;
it’s about giving these children a chance at a future filled with hope and opportunity. By supporting their education, we help restore the destinies once lost to them.” She adds,
