Wonder Gardens hosts Brews for the Birds Oct. 14

“Brews for the Birds” is on tap at the Wonder Gardens in Bonita Springs on Friday, Oct. 14, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Sponsored by Nassau Pools Construction, the goal of the event is to raise money for the continued care of rescued, rehabilitated and unreleasable birds at the 86-year-old botanic and zoological gardens.

“The care of more than 300 birds and reptiles is our priority at Wonder Gardens, and we are grateful for the support of the community,” said Neil Anderson, executive director at Wonder Gardens. “Our annual Brews for the Birds is a fun and engaging way to showcase the gardens while raising funds for the continued oversight and protection of a wide variety of birds who reside in our ponds, aviaries and pavilions throughout our 3.5-acre park.”

Sponsored by Nassau Pools Construction & Wintrust Banking Center, the adults-only event includes food trucks, beer from local and national breweries, wine and mixed-drink tastings, local business vendors, raffles and live music. Tickets are available online and are $50 for Wonder Gardens members and $55 for nonmembers and include unlimited beer and wine tastings, access to the park, live entertainment and take-home cup. Food trucks include Cositas Gourmet, Dudley’s Beachside BBQ, Eat Bold, and Eazy Cheezy. Participating breweries and beverage sponsors are Abita, Bells, Cigar City Brewing, Cycle/Brew Hub, Flying Eagle Kombucha, Fort Myers Brewing, Keel Farms, Lagunitas, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Tank Brewing, Terrapin and Walking Tree. Sponsored by Wintrust Banking Center, entertainment includes live music from Prana Songbird and tricks by Magician Randy.
