Haven of Hope International would like to unveil our exciting new campaign to bring Christmas cheer to vulnerable children. We wish for every child to have the experience of opening presents, decorating, singing holiday songs, enjoying a plentiful feast, and remembering Jesus is the reason for the season. Our Christmas initiative, in collaboration with BUYATREE. CHANGEALIFE and a dedicated local partner, aims to create unforgettable Christmas celebrations for children in Southwest Florida and our international partner orphanages.

Meet BUYATREE. CHANGEALIFE: a nonprofit that has kept the Christmas spirit alive for countless children since its inception in 2012, having sold nearly 100,000 trees and raised almost $8 million. This remarkable organization allocates 50% of tree sales profits to benefit local children, with the other 50% supporting children globally through partnerships with organizations like Haven of Hope International. The Challenge
With six international orphanages and a local presence in Florida, Haven of Hope International actively champions the noble cause of BUYATREE. CHANGEALIFE., ensuring a joyful Christmas for children on both fronts. While this may seem like an unlikely feat, we and our partner organization are confident that, with your help, we can provide plentiful Christmas celebrations for local and international children.
The History
As we delve into the historical roots of Christmas trees, we uncover the story of English Benedictine monk Boniface, whose courageous act centuries ago led to the symbolic fir tree, representing the holy trinity and the celebration of new life during Christmas.
Introducing Our Local Partners
Enter New Life Academy, our esteemed partner in Southwest Florida. Founded by Bishop Eric and Rev. Denise Johnson, this dynamic duo initiated their journey in 2005 with a humble school of 6 students. Today, their impact extends to over 100 students. This year, they’ve pledged their support to the BUYATREE. CHANGEALIFE. cause as a tree selling site, making Christmas extra special for local and international children.

Conversely, if you don’t get involved, the children may not get something for back to school supplies, a toy or gift they will treasure for years, or a feast outside of their norm (rice & beans).
