Biography Today’s girls face unprecedented challenges—rising anxiety, pressures of body image, and the influence of social media. Wellfit Girls provides a powerful response: transformational leadership programs that combine personal growth, fitness, and outdoor adventure. Each program culminates in a multi-day wilderness expedition, where participants push beyond their comfort zones, discover resilience, and return with a confidence that lasts far beyond the trail. For alumna Ellie, the program was life-changing. After struggling with anxiety and isolation during the pandemic, she reluctantly joined Wellfit Girls. By the end of her first expedition, she recalls that the program had “thrown a ladder down the dark hole I had fallen into—and I stepped onto the first rung.” Over four years, Ellie transformed from a girl afraid to speak up in class to one who confidently introduces herself, leads others, and advocates for her voice to be heard. Her story reflects what Wellfit Girls makes possible for dozens of local girls each year—an impact that ripples through schools, families, and the entire community. Who we are! Wellfit Girls is a nonprofit leadership program for girls ages 11–20, founded in 2014. Our founder—who was raising two daughters—saw that there weren’t any spaces where girls could truly be challenged, build resilience, and grow into confident leaders. So she created one. At Wellfit Girls, we believe real leadership starts from within. Through a mix of honest conversations, movement, and outdoor adventure, you’ll get to know yourself, push your limits, and connect with other girls doing the same. Every program ends with a hiking expedition that is the perfect mix of challenge and fun—and shows you just how strong, capable, and powerful you really are. Our Mission We are on a mission to inspire, challenge and empower teen girls to climb high in all areas of life through transformational leadership programs. Our programs invite girls to step into the unknown, try something new, and push themselves in ways they never have before. We believe engaging in new experiences and overcoming obstacles leads to long-lasting resilience and confidence, inspiring girls to believe they are capable of anything they set their minds to.
