7TH ANNUAL TASTE OF THE CAPE TO BE HELD AT
TARPON POINT MARINA

September 24, 2019

Cape Coral, Florida —The 7th Annual Taste of the Cape, a community event held in Cape Coral that celebrates both the culinary arts and live music, will move to Tarpon Point Marina this season. A partnership, originally developed between the Gulf Coast Symphony and Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, highlights some of the best restaurants in Cape Coral, a juried arts and craft fair, and brings premier live entertainment, including a full symphony performance, to the South Cape area. The event draws thousands of attendees each year and will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020
This year, the Taste of the Cape has partnered with Freeman & Hasselwander Resort Properties to move this premier culinary and music event to the exclusive Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral. The new location highlights the natural beauty of Cape Coral with panoramic views of its incredible waterways and lush palm trees lining the seawalls.
Attendees will enjoy an international array of great food from local restaurants serving their signature dishes, plus a wide variety of craft beers, wine and a signature Wicked Dolphin rum drink. Throughout the day, enjoy musical performances by local bands, and finish the day with another sensational Symphony at Sunset, with a waterfront view, performed by the Gulf Coast Symphony. Enjoy a selection of music that celebrates the American Cowboy and the Wild Wild West in a beautiful Southwest Florida setting—from Southwest Florida’s premier community orchestra!
A new family fun-zone will enhance the family experience and include face painting, a musical discovery zone and more.
For the first time at the Taste of the Cape enjoy a unique VIP experience, with a private tent with tables and servers, VIP bathrooms, VIP parking, preferred stage-front seating, and a host of other amenities. VIP passes are extremely limited and will sell out fast.
All proceeds from the Taste of the Cape support the Education Committee’s scholarship program and the Gulf Coast Symphony’s music education and community programs. The event is being supported by the Gunterberg Charitable Foundation.

Taste of the Cape runs from 11:00am to 6:00pm on Sunday, February 16, 2020 with musical performances throughout the day. Various Bands will perform, and the Gulf Coast Symphony will present a Symphony at Sunset concert at 4:30pm. General Admission is $5, VIP passes are $50, with food and drink prices ranging from $3–$8. 100% of net proceeds from this event go directly to local student scholarships and music outreach programs in the community.
