Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples debuts March movies, offers cool escape from spring break heat
As spring break crowds fill Southwest Florida beaches and temperatures begin to climb, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema invites locals and visitors alike to take a break from the sun and step into the ultimate air-conditioned entertainment experience.
Whether families need a midday cool-down or visitors are looking for an evening activity beyond the beach, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples is serving up major blockbuster releases and its signature interactive movie parties all March long.
Blockbuster fun for families
Families can head indoors to experience Pixar’s highly anticipated animated adventure, HOPPERS debuting March 6 at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Naples. In this family-friendly feature, scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals. Each movie ticket will include an Alamo-exclusive enamel pin featuring one of three HOPPERS characters, while supplies last.
For horror fans, Frankenstein meets his mate on March 6 in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s adaptation of the classic monster tale, THE BRIDE. In this dark comedy, a lonely Frankenstein, played by Christian Bale, travels to 1930s Chicago to ask a scientist, portrayed by five-time Oscar-nominated Annette Bening, to create a companion for him. What ensues is beyond what either of them ever imagined.
Another futuristic blockbuster debut during the spring break season is PROJECT HAIL MARY. Based on the 2021 novel from Andy Weir, the must-see space odyssey stars Oscar-nominated actor Ryan Gosling. Premiering on March 20, Gosling plays a science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship light-years from Earth with no idea who he is or how he got there.
Interactive Movie Parties bring cult classics to life
In addition to first-run films, Alamo Drafthouse’s themed movie parties transform screenings into fully interactive events, complete with curated props and audience participation.
At 7 p.m. on March 6, the theater hosts its JURASSIC PARK movie party, where guests can relive the iconic adventure with themed props, including glow sticks, a T-Rex car magnet, foam hand sanitizer, fake dino poop and a ladle.
The dinosaur-sized fun continues with THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK movie party on March 13 at 7 p.m., featuring take-home props, such as a grow-your-own dino kit, gum, an angry mommy T-Rex sticker and a headband.
On March 15 at 6 p.m., guests can attend the JURASSIC PARK III movie party, complete with a dino parachute, T-Rex pee air freshener and an “Alan!” sticker.
Later in the month, adventure returns to the desert with THE MUMMY RETURNS: 25th Anniversary movie party on March 27 at 7 p.m., where attendees will receive a rubber snake, scorpion snap bracelet, Medjai sticker and combat mask.
