Artist Alan S. Maltz Unveils New Works at Deep Lagoon Restaurant

Renowned Fine Art Photographer Alan S. Maltz completed his latest project, the installation of six mural size works of art at the recently opened Deep Lagoon Seafood Restaurant, formerly Randy’s Fish House, in Naples.

These pieces were produced on aluminum for a contemporary, high definition appearance; the largest of the group measuring 180’’w x 48’’h in a triptych format. The majority of work is from Maltz’s Old Florida Collection and were unveiled for the first time at the Deep Lagoon Grand Opening in October. The new proprietors, Tony and Kathleen Phelan of Phelan Family Brands, were introduced to Maltz through one of his award winning coffee table books, “Visions of Beauty – Fort Myers, Sanibel & Beyond.” The Phelans quickly became collectors after visiting his Key West Gallery on Duval Street. They proceeded to commission Maltz to create 40 large aluminum pieces for their newly acquired venue, The Marina at Edison Ford, located adjacent to The Edison Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, which opened in March of 2014.

Maltz expressed his gratitude by saying, “I am both honored and grateful that Tony and Kathleen selected my art to be featured in their latest restaurant venture.”

Tony Phelan said, “I am proud to represent Alan’s work because of its superior quality. He has a wonderful eye and catches God’s nature in an outstanding way.”
