Boogie Bash raises over $420,000 for local foster children

The night was a flashy flashback to the roaring 20’s and it was all in celebration of Friends of Foster Children Forever’s (FFCF) 12th annual Boogie Bash fundraiser.

As guests arrived in their flapper dresses and gangster attire, they were greeted by the Pzazz Dancers dressed in their best Gatsby threads. It all happened on Friday, March 22 at Grey Oaks Country Club.

The “ROAR into the 20’s with GATSBY” themed event had over 220 guests in attendance and raised over $420,000 to benefit FFCF’s one-on-one educational mentoring programs for local foster children. The theme helped to celebrate FFCF’s 20th anniversary.

The special night included cocktails, dinner, dancing and an evening of live entertainment all produced by Pzazz Productions. Celebrity emcees for the evening were PJ Fuerstman-Myer and Brian Roland. A video was shown, underwritten by William C. Huff Companies, which gave guests a glimpse into a foster child’s life and the challenges they face each and every day.

Event chairs were Edee and Michael DeLuca and the presenting sponsors were HBK CPAs & Consultants and HBKS Wealth Advisors. Additional sponsors included NEST Multi-Facility Management, Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, First Florida Integrity Bank, Home-Tech, The Woodruff Institute, Naples Auto Donation Center, PJ Fuerstman-Meyer & Pzazz Productions, and Naples Daily News.

The FFCF mission is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters or, is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
