Tom Ray, CEO of Encore Bank, is pleased to announce the expansion of the bank’s mortgage lending department and the appointment of Dan Royal as head of the division. As Senior Vice President of Residential and Consumer Lending, Royal will lead a team of top mortgage lenders hand picked to serve the needs of clients at each of its branches.
The expansion of the bank’s mortgage department is in direct response to the heightened activity in consumer real estate and the housing market in Southwest Florida. With the anticipation of increased demand for lending services, the bank is poised to make a difference in the communities it serves.
Royal is a proven leader in mortgage banking with an impressive history of building highly successful teams here in Florida. Dan has over 30 years of mortgage origination and management experience. He has consistently been a top producer in the market, while managing teams to award winning customer service levels and funded loan volume.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Royal has also been active in several community service and professional development organizations. He is a long-time member of The First Christian Church, and was a founding affiliate member of the Sanibel/Captiva Association of Realtors. Additionally, he has been a member of Rotary, and served on the board of directors of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, New Missions Systems International, and the Edison Pageant of Light.
Royal will oversee the mortgage lending teams at all Encore Bank locations.
