Fort Myers Brewing Company to host Oktoberfest on Oct. 7-10

Fort Myers Brewing Company will host its annual Oktoberfest, a four-day family-friendly event featuring craft beer, authentic German food and live music, from Thursday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 10 in Fort Myers.

Throughout the four-day celebration, guests can experience more than 10 different food trucks serving up specialty dishes, in addition to a wide selection of locally brewed ales, stouts and lagers. Festivities kick off Thursday and Friday with food truck rallies and first-time releases of Fort Myers Brewing’s specialty Oktoberfest beers. This year’s signature Oktoberfest brews include Fort Myers Festbier, a Dortmunder export for a light, crisp lager; Apple Strudel Ale, a blonde ale aged with apple, cinnamon and vanilla; Hurricane Heffie, a Bavarian hefeweizen with flavors of banana, clove and bubble gum; and YO!! Hans!!, a German amber ale that’s crisp, clean and slightly fruity.

The German festivities continue Saturday with Fort Myers Brewing’s signature festival brews on tap for a second time, and guests can return Sunday to help Kick the Keg with food trucks and specialty beers being poured until the keg runs out.
