Hodges University Named Top University for Professional Sales Education Second Year in a Row

Hodges University is pleased to announce it has been named a “Top University for Professional Sales Education” by the Sales Education Foundation (SEF) for the second year in a row.

Featured in the SEF 2018 ANNUAL magazine, SEF recognizes Hodges for preparing students for successful careers in professional selling and helping to elevate the sales profession. The SEF 2018 ANNUAL magazine, their 12th edition, is available on their website, https://salesfoundation.org/SEFAnnual/.

“Our goal is to equip students with the necessary sales courses and skills to prepare them for high-end positions in the workforce,” said Dr. Aysegul Timur, senior vice president of academic affairs and dean of the Johnson School of Business at Hodges University.

Prior to the launch of Hodges’ Bachelor of Science in marketing and professional sales degree program, Timur met with individuals from Gartner to discuss workforce outlook and the need for qualified sales associates. Looking to build on the marketing program at Hodges, Timur, with the help of Gartner and SEF, developed a curriculum for professional sales.

Students in the marketing and professional sales degree program receive instruction and hands-on experience in the areas of consumer behavior, services marketing, marketing research, pricing strategies, advertising and promotion, financial selling, professional selling, and sales management, which prepares students for a successful career in the workforce when they graduate.
