Iron Ridge Insurance Services empowers team to give back
Due to the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic this year, local non-profits and our community need a hand-up more than ever. Iron Ridge Insurance Services pledges its commitment to give back to the community and the causes that are important to its work family. This holiday season, Iron Ridge has empowered each of its employees to make a $500 donation to a local charity of their choice.
“Everyone on our team has responsibility, authority, and accountability and that philosophy extends to our corporate giving as well,” explained Norman Lutz, CEO of Iron Ridge Insurance. “It would be easy for me to just pick a charity and make a donation on Iron Ridge’s behalf, but that’s not how we operate. Everyone in our agency has a voice and their voice matters.”
Iron Ridge’s team members chose a variety of causes, including hunger relief, education, cancer support, and environmental initiatives. Child Care of Southwest Florida, Faces of Courage Foundation, Harry Chapin Food Bank, Midwest Food Bank and The Coral Restoration Foundation will each receive a $500 contribution. Iron Ridge also made a $1,000 contribution to Pickup the Ball, Inc., a Fort Myers-based charity providing mentorship and support.
“We’re excited to support a broad variety of important initiatives,” added Lutz. “These contributions will provide essential food, affordable early childhood education and care, mentorship and opportunities, empowerment of people with cancer, and restoration of our fragile ecosystem. I’m proud of our team for picking such worthy causes right here in our community.”
