Join STARability Foundation for a Beach Clean-Up on March 13

STARability Foundation is joining the Young Professionals of Naples for a BEACH CLEAN-UP event from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 13 at Lowdermilk Beach in Naples. Also helping to make the day a success will be representatives and volunteers from the Blue Zones Project® of Southwest Florida.

The public is invited to join STARability Foundation participants in an inclusive beach clean-up; people of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. This will be a great local volunteer opportunity for individuals, families and groups.

“During this event, a Young Professional member and a STARability participant will be partnered to work together in continuing this year’s Keep Collier Beautiful initiative, where visitors and local residents support this year’s International Coastal Cleanup,” said Karen Govern, CEO of the STARability Foundation. “The STARability Foundation’s mission is to transform the lives of individuals with disabilities through social, vocational, and educational connections to the community, while strengthening awareness and respect for individual abilities. We feel this volunteer opportunity will offer purpose and cause, all in one event. We are excited to join YP in this effort!”

The Young Professionals (YP) of Naples continues to prioritize the safety of members during the COVID-19 pandemic. At each event, free masks and hand sanitizer will be available to all members and guests. Both organizations, YP and STARabiltity, encourage everyone to practice safe distancing and follow Florida Department of Health COVID-19 Community Events Guidelines while attending any in-person function(s). If anyone is not feeling well, is showing symptoms, or who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend.

For questions about the BEACH CLEAN-UP event, or to volunteer or participate, email Madison at madison@starability.org or visit https://starability.org/upcoming-events/ for more information. Trash bags and gloves will be provided to all participants.
