Nathan’s Famous to celebrate its opening on March 15

Developer and general contractor Ray Masciana is pleased to announce Page Field Center, anchored by Florida’s first full-service Nathan’s Famous restaurant, will officially open for business at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15. Rental opportunities are now available at the new retail strip, located at 11150 S. Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers, and Nathan’s is now hiring. Prospective tenants should contact Cushman and Wakefield at 239-489-3600 for leasing information. Job applicants should visit www.JoinTeamNathans.com or call 239-208-7333 to apply.

The hangar-style architecture pays homage to the rich aviation history represented by its namesake Page Field Air Park, located directly across U.S. 41, and even houses a Yankee Clipper airplane with functioning navigation lights and spinning propeller. Boasting a 30-foot wingspan, the craft is complete except for the engine, which was removed to reduce its weight as it hangs from the roof joists over the tables in the restaurant.

Each of the available storefronts at Page Field Center offers approximately 1,400 square feet, with the possibility of spaces being combined, for up to five tenants. Rental cost is between $22 and $25 per square foot per year. In addition to its rich history, brand loyalty and quality food, Nathan’s Famous will be an enormous draw with its cobranding with Arthur Treacher’s Fish & Chips.

The restaurant also features an innovative video drive-thru fast food experience offering an unprecedented emphasis on customer service. The days of talking to an empty box is over, with a video screen that allows customers to see the person taking their order. The menu will offer something for everyone, with Nathan’s Famous hot dogs of all kinds, chicken sandwiches, burgers, fries, Philly cheesesteaks and much more.

Masciana grew up down the block from the second Nathan’s Famous restaurant, opened in 1955 in Oceanside, NY, and Page Field Center will be that storied company’s first standalone location in Florida. With an average daily traffic of 60,000 cars, the U.S. 41 location between Colonial Blvd. and College Parkway is expected to attract up to five retailers, and signals a major revitalization of that central Fort Myers corridor.
