Preferred Travel of Naples selects Guadalupe Center as the 2020 Travel Showcase fund recipient

Preferred Travel of Naples is pleased to announce Guadalupe Center will be this year’s charity recipient of their annual travel show which will be held February 17 at Club Pelican Bay.

Each year, Preferred Travel selects a non-profit charitable organization to benefit from their event with 100% of ticket proceeds donated directly to the charity. Last year, over $25,000 was presented to The Immokalee Foundation and to date, Preferred Travel has donated over $200,000 to local charities from the show’s proceeds.

“The organization is helping to break the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee,” says Olga Placeres, owner and president of Preferred Travel of Naples. “We get excited when we select a deserving charity each year and Guadalupe Center is doing exceptional work and we are happy to support their endeavors.”

Guadalupe Center is a purpose-driven, nonprofit organization with proven results in creating endless possibilities for the students of Immokalee through education and fostering personal and academic success that leads to economic independence. With a focus on breaking the cycle of poverty through education, Guadalupe Center is proud of the children’s accomplishments: 95% meet or exceed kindergarten readiness measures, 100% of Tutor Corps high school seniors graduate high school and are accepted into college, and more than 92% graduate with a post-secondary degree.

A $75 per person donation to attend the travel show will directly benefit The Guadalupe Center.
