STARability Foundation is pleased to offer a free Family Forum on
Wednesday, December 2 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.; the topic for this special informational event is Tools and Support for Caregivers.

The forum will be held virtually via Zoom and the special speakers will be:
• Marjorie Appleby: Speaker, Brain Injury Advocate, Author and STARability Parent
• Trish Childress: MSW, LCSW, Director of Supportive Services, Avow

Quarterly Family Forums are presented by STARability and feature engaging presentations, open discussions, and valuable takeaways to help families and individuals with useful information. Each forum features a topic of interest involving different areas of community resources and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities. The topics for the Forums came about after an online survey of STARability participants, families, and caregivers in 2018.

“Families started our organization more than 30 years ago to support one another and create opportunities for their loved ones,” says Karen Govern, Executive Director of the STARability Foundation. “We want to continually explore resources, issues and pathways to enhance the quality of life for these families and their loved ones.”

STARability’s Family Forums are free of charge and open to the public. To register, please visit https://givebutter.com/family-forum-dec-2020. For questions, please contact Laurie Sullivan, Operations & Supportive Services Manager, at laurie@STARability.org.
