Sullivan State Farm Agencies support teachers, students in Southwest Florida

The Sullivan State Farm Agencies recognize the importance of providing the tools and resources needed to support effective learning. Cape Coral agents Dawn and Mike Sullivan are taking action to help Southwest Florida families and teachers prepare ahead of the 2019-2020 school year.

State Farm knows that stocking up on supplies for a new school year can strain a family’s budget. To help make a difference, the Sullivans are collecting and donating school supplies from now until Monday, Aug. 12 at their office located on 2708 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral to benefit hundreds of young students. Contributors are asked to donate essentials such as notebooks, pencils, tissues, hand sanitizers, etc.

Education is key for the Cape Coral insurance agents. The pair founded Sully’s House; a foundation that provides full-ride and partial scholarships to deserving high school graduates across Southwest Florida. Sully’s House has granted local students with full scholarships to college, summer art programs and more.

“We truly believe comprehensive schooling is critical for healthy and vibrant communities,” Mike said. “Every child deserves an education that will help them reach their greatest potential and realize their dreams.”

The agency is also organizing a social media giveaway on their Facebook pages. Participants are asked to share an inspiring story about a teacher that made an impact on someone’s life. The teachers will be entered into a random drawing at the end of August and the winner will receive a $200 gift card for essential school supplies. To enter the giveaway, visit Dawn’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SFAgentDawn or Mike’s page at www.facebook.com/SFAgentSully.
