The 8th Annual Sip & Sample draws record crowd

The 8th annual Sip & Sample event, benefitting Friends of Foster Children Forever (FFCF), had a record breaking crowd this year bringing in over 300 attendees. The fall event was held on November 16 at The Village Shops on Venetian Bay, and was a collaborative effort with the shops and restaurants. Money raised will benefit the FFCF mentoring programs for local foster children in our community.

Besides festive music and decorations, guests enjoyed wine, appetizers, and special raffles throughout the evening. From crab cakes and beef wellington to delicious desserts, the night was filled with a selection of reds, whites and champagne to please every palette.

“This event is catching on with Naples residents and visitors alike. They are all coming out to support our mission and the children,” said Jane Billings, Executive Director of FFCF. “We are so pleased with how this event has turned out and so thankful to The Village Shops.”

Last year, FFCF programs helped over 950 foster children in Southwest Florida.

The FFCF mission is to focus on the children they serve by providing targeted educational and enrichment opportunities that allow each child to fulfill his or her potential. The charitable organization works to fulfill the unmet needs of every child who enters, or is at risk of entering the foster care system in Collier, Hendry and Glades Counties.
