Third on Canvas art auction to benefit two local charities will be held February 21

Tickets are still available for the Third on Canvas live art auction to be held on Thursday, February 21 from 5 to 8 pm at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Guests will enjoy wine and hors d’oeuvres, plus, a silent and live auction that will include art created by artists selected for this annual event.

Each year, talented artists from across the country paint “en plein air” for Third on Canvas. This year, artists will be painting on Sunday and Monday, February 17 and 18; easels will be set up on Third Street South and throughout the Old Naples Historic District.

The carefully chosen artists will paint subjects such as the wonderful buildings, original cottages, fountains, plazas, and courtyards of the Third Street South area including the beaches, The Pier, Crayton Cove and the City Docks. The public is invited to watch the artists create one-of-a-kind pieces of art. A complete list of artists and their painting locations may be found online at www.thirdstreetsouth.com.

Funds raised at the auction will directly support PAWS Assistance Dogs, which pairs skilled assistance dogs with combat-wounded veterans and children with life-changing disabilities, and Friends of Foster Children Forever, which provides targeted educational and enrichment opportunities for local foster children.
