BiographyThe Blessings in a Backpack program steps-up by feeding children on the weekend. Every afternoon, children receive backpacks filled with kid-friendly, ready-to-eat items. Students return every morning with an empty backpack, a full stomach, and an eager mind. In the schools we work with in Lee and Collier County, test scores, reading skills, positive behavior, general health, and attendance have improved dramatically as a result of children getting the nourishment they need. |

BiographyBiofeedback is a mind-body technique in which individuals learn how to modify their physiology for the purpose of improving physical, mental, emotional well-being. Thanks to the efforts of scientists like Tesla, Einstein and many others, we know that the Universe is 98% energy! Everything found on, in, under, and above the Universe has its own dynamic energy. Our entire body continually vibrates at a subtle level, moving energy and information through the connective tissues that encase us. Lisa Doyle-Mitchell is a Certified Biofeedback Specialist by the Natural Therapies Certification Board. She is licensed, insured, and trained on the L.I.F.E. System, a non-invasive biofeedback device that scans nearly 7,000 energy patterns. By identifying which energy vibrations are out of balance, the system can put them back into harmonic balance allowing your body to return to a state of rest and healing. “For me, biofeedback was a key part of my personal recovery through Multiple Sclerosis. It brought a voice to my subconscious as to the underlying cause of this bump in my road, which lead me to a breakthrough. My body recognized certain vibrations and registered a stress response accordingly. Because the biofeedback system made use of the information obtained when assessing my energy field it was able to identify which vibrations were out of balance, training me to put them back into balance, which allowed my body to return to a state of resonance. I continue to use biofeedback to maintain my well-being to this day.” – Lisa Doyle-Mitchell |

The founding partners of Chrysallìs Wellness Center are fully aware that to develop an effective wellness center for the community, it is important to establish a strong infrastructure that will foment internal functioning and stability. We provide high-quality behavioral health and wellness treatment and services to Fort Meyers and surrounding communities. Scarlett Olivares LMHC, CAP, is the Chief Executive Officer at Chrysallis Wellness Center. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Catholic University of Santo Domingo in 2004. As part of her education, she was an intern at the Padre Billini Psychiatric Hospital, where she provided counseling to chronically mentally ill individuals over a one-year time period. She also completed her Thesis dissertation on the emotional characteristics of abandoned street children in the city of Santo Domingo. Upon arriving in Florida, she became a non-residential counselor for Lutheran Services Florida. Her responsibilities included counseling and prevention services for truant, ungovernable, and runaway youth as well as their families. During her seven years at LSF, she became a member of the Collier County Truancy Court as well as the Youth Resource Center. Her skills as a bilingual/bicultural counselor were invaluable for providing assessments and counseling to the neediest and at-risk families that she assisted. Her passion and dedication to assisting youth led her to develop her skills in another critical mental health area, of addiction and substance abuse. While obtaining her graduate degree at Hodges University, she became an intern at the Hazelden/Betty Ford Foundation and subsequently was employed in their intensive outpatient program. She further developed her addiction counseling skills by providing counseling services to individuals who had received DUIs within Lee County through Catholic Charities Diocese of Venice Inc. Scarlett obtained her graduate degree (with honors) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University in 2015. Scarlett has specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR); an evidence-based practice that has been proven as one the most effective treatments of trauma. She has had the opportunity to work with a number of individuals of all ages while working for Elite DNA as well as playing a major role in creating the first care coordination program in SWFL. Scarlett served as the CCO of The Center for Progress and Excellence (CPE) from August 2018 through February 2020, helping to create and develop the mobile crisis Team as well as working very closely with the Department of Juvenile Justice and providing mental and behavioral health services. |
