Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner attorney, P.J. Scheiner, earns board certification in civil trial law, joining a select group across the state

Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, is pleased to announce that attorney Preston J. “P.J.” Scheiner recently earned board certification in Civil Trial Law from the Florida Bar. Board certification identifies lawyers with specialized knowledge, skills and proficiency, as well as a reputation for professionalism and ethics. Scheiner is now distinguished as a board-certified specialist or expert in Civil Trial Law.

Board certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar. Of Florida’s more than 107,000 lawyers, less than 1% are board certified in Civil Trial Law. To become board certified, attorneys must meet the highest standards for special knowledge in their certification area, and are subject to a thorough peer evaluation. Candidates must demonstrate skill, character, ethics, and a reputation for professionalism.

“Becoming board certified is a great honor and a career milestone,” said Scheiner. He added, “As an attorney, I am constantly striving to be the best possible advocate and counselor for my clients. Board certification offers an objective measure of my dedication for my clients, my practice, and my profession.”

Lawyers certified in Civil Trial Law possess specialized knowledge, skill, and proficiency in the handling of civil disputes through litigation and trial. They represent their clients in a variety of proceedings, such as pretrial hearings, depositions, arbitration, mediation, and trial.

Scheiner has served as a lawyer since 2007, working alongside his father, Bruce L. Scheiner. His devotion to the community shines bright in his efforts to fight for improved local water quality, serving on the board of Captains for Clean Water. He also takes a leading role in his firm’s efforts to strengthen our community through the annual Make a Difference Award, which recognizes the exceptional community service work of middle and high school students across Lee, Collier, Charlotte and Hendry counties.
