Better Together to offer Parents’ Night Out Nov. 19, Dec. 11

Better Together, a nonprofit dedicated to helping families in crisis and preventing the need for foster care, is launching a Parents’ Night Out program with upcoming dates including Nov. 19 and Dec. 11.

Monthly events will offer parents access to a couple hours of no-cost care for children ages infant through 17 years old. Better Together will provide background-checked volunteers in addition to dinner, games and fun for children to enjoy while parents are away.

“As a mother, I know that everyday tasks can become challenging when balancing work, life and hectic schedules. Yet, it’s important to dedicate some time to enjoy together as adults or to simply get things done that have been on the backburner,” said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. “Parents’ Night Out provides a couple hours for parents to go on a date night, take some time alone, run errands or do some holiday shopping while their children are under the supervision of background-checked volunteers. It’s a time to do whatever helps you. We’ll entertain the kids.”

In November, Parents’ Night Out will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, located at 5260 28th Ave. SW in Naples, in the church’s St. Louis Room. The church is also hosting a trivia night from 7 to 8 p.m. that evening.

In December, Parents’ Night Out will be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11 at Mission Community Church, located at 2633 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in downtown Fort Myers.
