The Joint at Cape Harbour to become Fathoms Restaurant & Bar
Long-time fans of The Joint may find themselves doing a double take the next time they arrive at this beloved eatery at Cape Harbour. After a brief closure from September 14 through 23, the longstanding waterfront establishment at 5785 Cape Harbour Drive will emerge with a fresh coat of paint and a new name, Fathoms Restaurant & Bar.
International 5-Star hospitality company Hoffman Group Holdings, LLC acquired The Joint in July and have since operated continuously under that name. The owners are keen to orchestrate a seamless transition for The Joint’s dedicated customers while better capitalizing on its many existing strengths, one of which is its fantastic location. The Marina at Cape Harbour offers the only waterfront shopping destination in Southwest Florida with award-winning art galleries, a luxury spa and salon and extraordinary boutiques.
The physical refresh is one of a few adjustments Fathoms is making at the location, while applying an “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it” approach. Timothy Hoffman said, “We acquired The Joint because it’s a great establishment with a loyal fan base and a lot of potential for even greater appeal.”
A wide variety of great items on the existing menu will stay and the price points will not change. The popular special event and live music nights will still happen several times per week. Current personnel are also expected to continue greeting customers, although staff will be sporting smart new uniforms. The bulk of any operational changes are intended to make their jobs easier, including streamlining employee ordering and accounting processes and the layout of service routes.
Before September 14, Fathoms is testing new menu items as specials, so before the brief planned closure it’s a perfect time to stop in, see some familiar faces, say hi to the new owners and try something new. Arrive by boat or car to this multi-use yachting community of Cape Harbour, situated at the mouth of the Caloosahatchee River and the Gulf of Mexico.
